  3. Round Lake Beach Holiday Tree Lighting and Open House 2015

    November 27, 2015, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ The Tree Lighting will take place in front of the Round Lake Beach Village Hall. After the Tree Lighting, the Cultural and Civic Center will have it's Holiday Open House.

    Join us for an evening of fun as the Village of Round Lake Beach hosts its annual Holiday Tree Lighting! Our evening begins at the Village Hall with the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus on a Fire Truck at approximately 6:15 pm. Shortly after, the annual lighting of the tree will begin. After the tree lighting ceremony, everyone is invited to warm up next door at the Cultural & Civic Center. Children can enjoy a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, crafts, meet the Round Lake Area Queens and much more! Invite your friends and family for hot drinks and treats. The first 150 families at the Center will receive a “Round Lake Beach Holiday Shopping Gift Bag” filled with coupons to help you save and keep your Christmas shopping local.

    Skill Level: Beginner, No experience necessary Cost: $25 Time: 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM Date: Wednesday January 6, 2016 Ladies and Gentlemen, 21 years and older, on January 6, 2016 from 7PM-10PM we will be creating beautiful painting of wine being poured in a wine glass- perfect to dress up your bar area, kitchen or dining room! Start the New Year right by "making yourself" a glass of wine! This picture allows plenty of room for personalization, different colored backgrounds and glass shapes etc. Daisy will go through the whole painting with you step-by-step in a casual and fun atmosphere. Bring your beverage (drinking of wine or beer is an option), bring your friends and/or family and come have a great time. Daisy will supply the snacks, canvas, paint brushes, paint, a corkscrew, and snacks.     The RLB Cultural & Civic Center will be hosting monthly Fireside Chats. The first in our series will be on January 13, 2016. Our guest, along with Mayor Hill will be Lake County Clerk Carla Wyckoff. The evenings will begin at 6PM with a Meet and Greet. There will be an informal conversation between the elected official and Mayor Hill, along with guest moderators from 6:30 pm to 7:15 pm. Residents will have the opportunity to get involved in a Q&A session from 7:15 pm to 7:30 pm. Coffee and desserts will be provided, compliments of the village. January’s guest moderators will be the Board Members of the Municipal Clerks Association of Lake County. These Fireside Chats at the Center will host elected officials from Lake County and are open to the public at no charge. Our goal is to bring our communities and elected officials together in a comfortable setting to share community information that is of value to everyone.
